Richard Dawkins has written a series of books on evolution, starting with his first two books, The Selfish Gene (1976) and The Extended Phenotype (1982). They were followed by three more books in which an attempt was made to clarify some common mistakes in understanding the theory of evolution [2] . His latest documentary series “The Genius of Charles Darwin” is dedicated to the life of Charles Darwin and provides some of the evidence from the theory of evolution.
Despite these and other works, Dawkins felt that in fact he had never before taken up comprehensive coverage of evidence of evolution , so he decided to devote this book to this topic.
