Mario Francisco Fortunato ( Spanish: Mario Francisco Fortunato ; 1904 , Buenos Aires - January 10, 1970 , Buenos Aires ) - Argentinean footballer , midfielder . 1925 South America Cup Champion . Career

As a player, Fortunato played for the Sportivo Barracas , Huracan and Boca Juniors clubs, and became the Argentinean champion in 1926 as part of the Boca Juniors. He spent 11 matches for the Argentine national team , was part of the national team in three championships of South America in 1924 , 1925 and 1926 . He became the champion of South America in 1925. Due to a knee injury, he ended his playing career early, and in 1930, at the age of 26, he became the head coach of Boca Juniors. He was the head coach of Boca for six years, having won four championships in Argentina during this time, later on he became the head coach of Boca twice more, but without much success. In addition to Boca Juniors, he coached a number of well-known Argentine clubs, but did not win any more titles, except for that he headed the eminent Brazilian Botafogo for a short time.
