Sechelt ( Sháshíshálh, Shashishalhem, Sechelt ) is an endangered coastal Salish language spoken by the Sechelt people living on the southwest coast north of the city of Vancouver (in the center of their reserve communities) of the state of British Columbia in Canada. Currently, most people speak English. They also have a desire to revive their language by teaching in local schools.
