Biography
Fedor Sadchikov was born on February 20, 1922 in the village of Aleksandrovka (now Novousmansky District, Voronezh Region ). After graduating from eight classes of the school, he worked as a turner at the Voronezh Aviation Plant. In 1940, Sadchikov was called up for service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army . In 1941, he graduated from the Yegoryevsky Military Aviation Pilot School. Since August 1943 - on the fronts of World War II [1] .
By September 1944, Senior Lieutenant Fyodor Sadchikov was deputy squadron commander of the 826th assault air regiment of the 335th assault air division of the 3rd Air Army of the 1st Baltic Front . By that time, he had made 98 sorties to aerial reconnaissance, attack and bombardment of accumulations of military equipment and manpower of the enemy, inflicting heavy losses [1] .
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of February 23, 1945 for “courage and heroism shown during assault attacks on the enemy,” Senior Lieutenant Fyodor Sadchikov was awarded the high title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal number 4185 [ 1] .
In 1946, with the rank of captain, Sadchikov was transferred to the reserve. He lived in Moscow , worked at the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs . In 1950, Sadchikov graduated from the Higher School of Trade Union Movement of the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions, in 1952 - from the Higher Diplomatic School .
He died on November 26, 1997, was buried at the Troekurovsky cemetery in Moscow [1] .
He was also awarded three orders of the Red Banner , the Order of Alexander Nevsky , three orders of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree, a number of medals [1] .
