Location

The village of Zhuchata is located in the northwestern part of the Yegoryevsk district, about 2 km east of the city of Yegoryevsk. Near the southern outskirts of the village, the Lyublovka River flows. Altitude 139 m [2] .

Title

Until the first quarter of the 18th century, the village changed its name privately: Mitrofanovskaya , Kitaevskaya , Nikonovskaya , Nikonovo , Frolovskaya . According to the census of 1627, Fedka Ofonasiev, nicknamed the Beetle, lived in the village. His descendants were called bugs . Since 1726, the village was assigned a new name Zhuchaty , the modern form - Zhuchata [3] .

History

Before the abolition of serfdom, the villagers belonged to the category of state peasants [4] .

After 1861, the village became part of the Nechaevsky volost of the Yegoryevsky district. The parish was in the city of Yegoryevsk [5] .

In 1926, the village was part of the Laptevsky village council of the Yegoryevsky volost of the Yegoryevsky district [6] .

Until 1994, Zhuchata were part of the Selivanikhovsky village council of the Egorievsky district, and in 1994-2006. - Selivanikhovsky rural district [7] .

Population

In 1885, 134 people lived in the village [8] , in 1905 - 186 people (92 men, 94 women) [9] , in 1926 - 146 people (72 men, 74 women) [6] . According to the 2002 census , 48 people (24 men, 24 women) [10] .
