Kaoru Watashia ( 私 屋 カ ヲ ル Watashia Kaoru , born January 3, 1972 in Tokyo ) is a Japanese mangaka . Most known as the author of the manga Kodomo no Jikan , which was selected for translation into English, although the publication of manga in America was canceled by licensing company Seven Seas Entertainmen due to concerns about the controversial content of the manga. In addition, this manga was the first of her works, filmed in the form of an anime series.
