Extractor (fishing)

Extractor

Extractor - fishing gear in the form of a fork, a rod with a hook and a piece of spiral at the end, 20 - 25 cm long with a diameter of 3 - 4 mm.

Designed to extract a hook or spinner from the mouth of a fish.

During fishing , it happens that the fish deeply swallowed the bait with a hook, and it is very difficult to remove it. The bower allows you to easily and safely open and lock the mouth of the fish. The fish's mouth remains open and allows both hands to be used to extract the hook. This is most conveniently done using an extractor. The extractor is inserted along the body of the hook until it is bent and with a slight pressure on it release the hook. It is desirable that the fishing line was stretched along the extractor.

An extractor can usually be purchased at a specialist store. It is not difficult to make it yourself from a steel wire with a diameter of about 3 mm. If possible, then it is worth using an alloy wire (stainless steel) - this simplifies maintenance, and the tool becomes almost eternal. It is desirable to make a ring at one end so that it is more convenient to hold in your hand, and the other - to flatten a little and make a small incision (sometimes it is performed at an angle).
