The 1884 Home Nations Cup ( Eng. 1884 Home Nations Championship - The 1884 Home Nations Championship ) is the second-ever Rugby Cup of the House of Nations, the ancestor of the modern Rugby Cup of the Six Nations . The winner of the tournament was the England team, it also won the Triple Crown for the second time (although at that time this term was not used).

The Cup was marked by the first grand scandal: in the match between England and Scotland the victory of the English was disputed by the Scots, and they even demanded to annul the results of the match. The incident led to the legal approval of common rugby rules, and in 1886 the International Rugby Council was formed - the governing organization in rugby 15 and rugby 7.
