Canon EOS 1200D (name in North America - Canon Rebel T5 , in Japan - Canon EOS Kiss X70 ) is a digital single-lens reflex camera of the initial level of the Canon EOS family. The camera has a matrix with a crop factor of 1.6 and allows the use of EF-S lenses designed for matrices of this size. The camera was announced on February 12, 2014. Replaced model Canon EOS 1100D (name in North America - Rebel T3, in Japan - Kiss X50).

Description
Canon EOS 1200D - the third model line of the most simple and affordable cameras of the EOS family. As in the case of its predecessors, the simplifications compared with older models mainly boil down to using the matrix and the rear display of the previous generation and limiting the shooting speed.
Differences from 1100D
Body and Mechanics
- Weight reduced by 15 grams.
- Rubber linings appeared on the body
Electronics
- The resolution of the matrix has increased from 12 to 18 million pixels.
- Video shooting in Full HD , as well as shooting in HD at 60 frames per second.
- The matrix has the same sensitivity range of 100-6400 ISO, but the value of 12.800 is available in the advanced mode.
- The diagonal of the LCD display has increased from 2.7 to 3 inches, and the resolution has increased to 460.000 pixels.
