Location
The village of Khokhlevo is located in the northwestern part of the Yegoryevsk district, about 5 km northeast of the city of Yegoryevsk. 0.5 km north-east of the village, the Rudinka River flows. Altitude 138 m [2] .
Title
The name is associated with the non-calendar personal name of Khokhl [3] .
History
Before the abolition of serfdom, the villagers belonged to the category of state peasants [4] .
After 1861, the village became part of the Nechaevsky volost of the Yegoryevsky district. The parish was in the city of Yegoryevsk [5] .
In 1926, the village was part of the Zabolotievsky village council of the Yegoryevsky volost of the Yegoryevsky district [6] . Until 1954 - the center [Khokhlevsky village council | Khokhlevsky village council]].
Until 1994, Khokhlevo was part of the Klemenovsky village council of the Yegoryevsky district, and in 1994-2006. - Klemenovsky rural district [7] .
Population
In 1885, 381 people lived in the village [8] , in 1905 - 414 people (203 men, 211 women) [9] , in 1926 - 270 people (135 men, 135 women) [6] . According to the 2002 census, there were 37 people (20 men, 17 women) [10] .
