Group History
The group was formed in August 2010 in Moscow. Alexander Ilyin (vocals), Andrey Shmorgun (bass guitar) and Denis Khromykh (guitar) have been recording 5 demo songs for half a year and are actively looking for the missing part of the group. In early 2011, Andrey Obukhov (guitar), Sergey Ivanov (drums) and Ilya Ilyin (bayan) joined the musicians. Behind each of the band members is a great experience in music, film and theater.
In July 2011, the band starts recording their debut album in the Moscow studio Dreamport with sound engineer Maxim Samosvat , and in December sends the mixed material to the United States, where Ted Jensen is mastering the album. March 7, 2012 the disc was published. On March 6, 2014 the third album was released [1] .
At the moment, the group is working on a new album, it will be based on the poem by Vladimir Mayakovsky "Cloud in the pants . " It is also known that in addition to the band itself, the members of other groups will also take part in the recording, as well as the string quartet: Natalia Yukhimchuk (1st violin), Alexander Mayorov (2nd violin), Leonid Kazakov (viola), Alexey Makarov (cello). Vasya (trombone) and Skipirich (trumpet) from the Distemper group recorded brass parts for “Clouds in Pants”. This is what the musicians themselves say about the new album:
“We’ll clarify the situation a bit. At the moment the band is recording an album. An unusual album. Unusual because this time we use the verses of Vladimir Mayakovsky as the lyrics. And not just different poems, but specifically a poem. A poem called "Cloud in pants" . From January 26 to February 20, we recorded drums, bass guitar and rhythm guitars in the United States. Arriving home, we recorded the main vocal and acoustic and clean guitars. It is already clear that there will be 19 songs. We plan to record keyboards and atmospheric sounds further, and also invite musicians from friendly groups. Plans to record a violin, cello, piano, trumpet, ukulele, etc. and so on. Sound producer of the album Maxim Samosvat . Dmitry Kezhvatov also helped us in the recording of guitars. There is no specific release date yet. Stay tuned to the news. ” [2]
The album was posted online January 22, 2016.
Group Style
The style of the band is a cheerful satirical punk rock with elements of alternative riffs and metallic patterns. The musicians themselves describe themselves as follows: “We have something that is lacking in professionals. Our souls are not bored. ” .
