The 11th Army ( 第 11 軍 Dai-ju: Iti Gong ) is a military unit of the Japanese Imperial Army , operating during the Sino-Japanese War (1937-1945) .

Formed on July 4, 1938 under the command of General Okamur . It was part of the Central China Front , its main task was to capture and occupy the central provinces of China between the Yangtze and Yellow River . She played an important role in the battle of Wuhan . In September 1939, it was reassigned to the newly formed Expeditionary Army , and in September 1944, to the 6th Front .
Disbanded in the Quanzhou region ( Guilin County, Guangxi Province) after the surrender of Japan .
