Peskovsky district

Peskovsky district is an administrative-territorial unit in the Central Black Earth , Voronezh and Balashov regions, which existed in 1929-1959. The center is the village of Sands .

Peskovsky district was formed in 1929 as part of the Borisoglebsky district of the Central Black Earth region. July 30, 1930 in connection with the liquidation of the district system in the USSR, the Peskovsky district became directly subordinate to the Central Black Earth Region.

June 13, 1934 Peskovsky district became part of the Voronezh region.

According to 1945, the Peskovsky district was divided into 7 village councils: Kardailsky, Mazursky, Peskovsky 1st, Peskovsky 2nd, Samodurovsky, Tanzireisky and Tretyakovsky.

On January 6, 1954, the Peskovsky district was transferred to the Balashov region , but already on November 19, 1957 it was returned to the Voronezh region.

On March 4, 1959, the Peskovsky district was abolished, and its territory was divided between the Povorinsky district and the city of Borisoglebsky .
