Geography

The village is located in the southern part of the okrug, about 20 km south of the Shakhovskaya district center, at the source of the nameless stream, the left tributary of the Ruza River [7] [8] , the height of the center above sea level is 239 m [9] . The nearest settlements are Fomkino 2 km to the north and Maksimkovo 3 km to the north-west.

The village is a horticultural partnership (SNT) " High " [10] .

From the village you can get to the district center by buses No. 44 and 50 [11] .

History

On the map of the Moscow province of 1860, F. F. Schubert is the village of Psova [12] .

First mentioned in the spiritual letter of Prince Fyodor Volotsky in 1506 [13] .

In 1769, the village of Vysotskoye, Pskovo was also shown on the map of the General Land Survey as the center of possession of the College of Economy (formerly the New Jerusalem Monastery ), which belonged to the Khovansky camp of the Ruzsky district of Moscow province [14] .

In the middle of the 19th century, the village of Psova belonged to the 2nd camp of the Mozhaisk district and belonged to the Department of State Property . The village had 55 yards , 187 male souls and 180 female souls [15] .

In the β€œList of Populated Places” of 1862, Psovo is a state-owned village of the 2nd camp of the Mozhaisk district of the Moscow province on the right side of the Volokolamsk tract from the city of Mozhaisk, 45 versts from the county town, with a pond and wells, with 52 courtyards and 394 inhabitants (180 men , 214 women) [3] .

According to the data for 1890, it was part of the Kanaevsky volost , the number of male souls was 175 people [16] .

In 1913 - 74 courtyards and a parish school [17] .

In 1917, the Kanaevsky volost was annexed to the Volokolamsk district , and in 1924 it was liquidated according to the decree of the Presidium of the Moscow City Council , and the village was included in the Seredinsky volost [18] .

The materials of the All-Union Census of 1926 indicate the villages of Psovo-Podgorye and Psova Gora . In the first, 235 people lived (106 men, 129 women), 52 peasant farms were conducted, there was a school, and a village council was located; in the second, 236 people lived (105 men, 131 women), 54 households (53 peasant) were conducted [4] . Until 1939, the Psovogorsky Village Council existed.

After some time, the settlements merged, and in 1939, by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR, Psova Gora was given its original name - High [19] .

1994-2006 - the village of the Seredinsky rural district of the Shakhovsky district [20] .
