General Information

This station was founded on May 20, 1960 . The staff of the station included only three people under the supervision of A. 3. Smirnov. At this station, meteorological and aerological observations were made. The Mir was located on an ice dome at an altitude of 327 meters . 90 km to the south was the Mirny station. On August 6, the station was closed.
