After the failure of his previous album Oxygene 7-13, Jean-Michel Jarre decided to start all over again, taking a different direction of his music, including vocals in his music. This is the first "vocal" album by Jean-Michel Heat, in which he collaborates with the help of a vocoder with Lori Anderson, Natasha Atlas and Deirdre Dubois. Laurie Anderson made her second appearance in the discography of Jarre (the first was collaboration on the Zoolook album in the composition "Diva"). The music feels a mixture of elements of modern techno-pop, ambient jazz and electro. In general, the album was positively received by critics, although it did not bring much success.
