Club career
In adult football, Addison began his career at the York City club, for which he played for four seasons. In 1961, for a record for York City, 12 thousand pounds went to the club of the first division of Nottingham Forest , for which he managed to score 62 goals in five seasons. In 1966, for 45 thousand pounds, it was acquired by the Arsenal club, having spent only one season in which Addison moved to Sheffield United . He completed his football career in 1973 at Hereford United .
Coaching career
At the end of his football career, Addison became a playing coach at the Hereford United club, which he also managed after completing his own playing career. Subsequently, he led a number of English and Welsh clubs, mainly lower divisions. At the end of the 80s he worked in Spain , where in particular he coached such famous clubs as Celta and Atlético Madrid . In addition, over the years, he worked with Middle Eastern and South African clubs. He completed his coaching career in 2004 at the Welsh Club Barry Town .
