Valentin Nikitich Shestopalov ( Ukrainian: Valentin Mikitovich Shestopalov ; September 22, 1947 - June 22, 2013 ) - Soviet and Ukrainian film and theater actor , one of the leading actors of the Lesya Ukrainka National Academic Theater of Russian Drama . People's Artist of Ukraine ( 1998 ).

Biography

Born on September 22, 1947 in Lviv .

Shestopalov discovered the acting makings in his childhood, he attended the Roman Viktyuk theater group in Lviv.

He studied at the creative studio of the Ivan Franko Ukrainian Theater . In 1972 he graduated from GITIS .

Shestopalov began his acting career in 1974 at the Kiev Theater of Poetry and Song, then worked at the Lesya Ukrainka Theater .

The debut on the theatrical stage - participation in the performances of 1975 “The Last Days” and “The Brave Tailor”.

He played his first film role in 1978 in the movie “ Underground Regional Committee Acts, ” where he played a German officer in the episode.

He acted in films and worked in the theater, became one of the leading actors of the Lesya Ukrainka Theater . He created his own theater "Actor" , in which he was also the artistic director and actor.

Since 2003, actively starred in Ukrainian and Russian television series .

He lived in Kiev . Died June 22, 2013 after a long illness. He was buried at the Bike cemetery .
