Paralucanus mesozoicus (lat.) Is a species of winged insects of the genus Paralucanus from the family Paralucanidae ( Scarabaeoidea ). Found in the Upper Jurassic deposits of Central Asia (Sharteg Formation, Gobi-Altai aimak , east of Mount Atas-Bogd 5-6 km west of Mount Shara-Tag, Mongolia ). Body size 7.65 × 2.45 mm, elytra 4.75 × 1.20 mm. The species was first described in 2000 by a Kazakhstan coleopterologist Professor George Vladimirovich Nikolaev [1] ( Kazakh State University , Kazakhstan ) [1] [2] [3] .
