Geography
The village is located on the banks of the river Knyazhevka. [one]
History
According to the Lists of populated areas of the Russian Empire in 1872, the village of Kozhuhovo belonged to the 1st camp of the Galich district of the Kostroma province . There were 6 yards in it , 27 men and 34 women lived. [one]
According to the 1897 census , 90 people lived in the village (31 men and 59 women). [2]
According to the List of populated areas of the Kostroma province in 1907, the village belonged to the Kostomsky [3] (or Nagatinsky [2] ) volost of the Galich district of the Kostroma province . According to the volost government, in 1907 there were 8 peasant households and 45 inhabitants. The main occupation of the villagers, in addition to agriculture, was carpentry. [2]
Before the municipal reform of 2010, the village was also part of the Orekhovsky rural settlement. [4] [5]
