Suleiman Arabiyat ( English Suleiman Arabiyat ; August 1, 1938 , As-Salt - October 23, 2013 ) - Jordanian professor, writer and politician, Minister of Agriculture (1989-1990).

Biography
Suleiman Arabiyat was born in the Jordanian city of As Salt in 1938. In the early 1970s, he became a professor and research fellow at the , and joined the newly created Department of Agriculture [1] . In 1989, Arabiyat was the dean of this faculty [2] . He was also the rector of Al-Balqa` Applied University and Mutah University [3] .
Throughout his life, Arabiyat held various positions in the Ministry of Agriculture, and in 1989-1990 he was Minister of Agriculture [3] .
Arabiyat was a member of several academic committees and editorial boards of scientific and university journals. In addition, he published a number of scientific papers and studies in national and international scientific journals [1] .
Suleiman Arabiyat died on October 23, 2013 [3] .
