Salvador’s Military Ordinary ( Spanish: Obispado Castrense en El Salvador ) - The Roman Catholic Church’s military ordinance , operating in El Salvador . The military ordinariat of El Salvador, reporting directly to the Holy See , provides pastoral care for the soldiers of the Salvadoran army and their families.

Content
History
On March 25, 1968, the Congregation for the Bishops issued a decree “De erigendo Vicariatu Castrensi” , which established a congregation of military chaplains for the Salvadoran army.
On July 21, 1986, Pope John Paul II issued the bull “Spirituali militum curae” , which transformed the congregation of military chaplains into the military ordinate of El Salvador.
