Algren, Anna

Anne Algren (after her marriage in 1985 - Sundell, born July 23, 1960) is a famous Swedish athlete in modern pentathlon. The first in the history of the women's pentathlon world champion in the individual championship (1981). Repeated winner and medalist of the Swedish modern pentathlon championships.

Biography

Anne Algren was born on July 23, 1960 in   Sweden In her youth, Anna played football, then swimming. She began training and competing in modern pentathlon since 1977.

The main profession is an employee of the Swedish police.

Achievements

Winner of the World Cup in Modern Pentathlon (1979) in the individual competition.

World Championships:

  • 1981 - gold in the individual championship and bronze in the team.
  • 1982 - bronze in the team event.
  • 1983 - silver in the individual competition and bronze in the team.
  • 1985 - bronze in the team championship.
  • 1991 - bronze in the relay.
