Marina Dazmirovna Akobia (born January 12, 1975 , Volgograd ) is a Russian water polo player , bronze medalist of the 2000 Olympics . Honored Master of Sports of Russia (2000).

In the women's national team of Russia in water polo since 1993. In 1993 at the European Championships she took 2nd place. In 1997, at the European Championships , as well as at the World Cup, she took 2nd place as part of the Russian women's water polo team. In 1999 at the European Championships she won a bronze award. September 23, 2000 at the Olympics in Sydney (Australia) won a bronze medal in water polo competitions among women.
In 1996 and 1998 at the European Cup, as part of the SKIF team (Moscow) took 2nd place, and in 1997 and 1999 at the European Champions Cup took 1st place.
In 2001 she was awarded the medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland", II degree. [one]
