MBU-600

MBU-600 is a Soviet multi-barrel bombing system developed by SKB MV under the leadership of B. I. Shavyrin based on operating experience of the domestic MBU-200 bomb [1] . It had 24 guides for launching depth charges . Adopted by the USSR in 1956 . It was used on minesweepers of Project 264 , destroyers , patrol ships and submarine hunters .

Design Features

As a rule, the launcher was fixed motionless in the bow of the ship and stabilized by pitching. The guidance of the bomb for firing was carried out by the hull of the ship at the rate. To control the installation and salvo there was a special fire control device PUSB-24-600, which was installed in the cabin .
