Until the 19th century
- 1703 - the first issue of the Vedomosti newspaper was published in Moscow . It was the first newspaper in Russia ; in 1992, Russian Press Day was established in honor of this event.
XIX century
- 1813 - Russian troops led by Emperor Alexander I under the command of Field Marshal M.I. Kutuzov crossed the Neman and, entering the Duchy of Warsaw, began the liberation of Europe from Napoleon .
- 1813 - Storming of Lankaran by the Russian detachment of Major General P. S. Kotlyarevsky .
