Biography
According to some sources, he was born in the village of Yurasovo, but there has never been a Yurasovsky district in the Ryazan province, and the village was part of the Ryazan district. He studied at the parish village school in Ryazan district. [1] According to other sources, he was born in St. Petersburg and then was sent to the village. [2]
From 1894 to 1901 a worker at the Putilov plant in Petrograd . From 1901 to 1906 he served as an ordinary , then a junior non-commissioned officer in the tsarist army. Member of the RSDLP from 1908. From 1907 to 1913 he worked at factories in Petrograd. Since 1912, he organized illegal meetings at his apartment, in which M. M. Lashevich , A. A. Solts , and I. V. Stalin took part. In 1913 he took part in a strike at the Putilov factory, for the dissemination of revolutionary literature in connection with the Lensky execution he was arrested in St. Petersburg and spent 3 weeks in prison. He was put on trial, sentenced to administrative expulsion to a settlement in Reval . From 1914 to 1917 on the fronts of the 1st World War.
Since 1917, a member of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee at the 2nd All-Russian Congress of Soviets , chairman of the Council of Workers 'and Soldiers' Deputies in Mozhaisk . From 1917 to 1929, secretary, member of the Board, chairman of the Control and Auditing Commission, head of the Instructor Department, head of the Communications Department of the Cheka, then chairman of the Don, Terskaya, Tverskaya, Stavropol, Sevastopol, Kaluga, Kurgan provincial Cheka (provincial departments of the OGPU), head of the Special Department OGPU 81st Infantry Division , 2nd Infantry Corps of the Moscow Military District . In 1929 he was seconded to the Central Committee of the CPSU (b). Sent to the chores at the factory in Tver , the factory Red Putilovets in Leningrad.
