Biography
Angelo Mozzillo was born on June 21, 1965 in the city of Caserta ( Caserta ) Italy . His grandfather and grandmother owned a well-known textile factory . Continuing the family tradition, he collaborated with eminent ateliers [1] . He received his Master's degree in Fashion Design from the prestigious Milan School of Design .
In 1988, he began his career as a designer, working for the famous fashion houses Gianfranco Ferre in Milan and Fernanda Gatinoni in Rome .
In 1993, as part of Milan Fashion Week , his first collection was presented, entitled “Forms and Functions”. The press called Angelo Mozzillo a promising and talented designer. The prestigious American magazine Vividi America ( Eng. WWD America [2] ) published a cover and dedicated the title page “The new talent in Milan” [3] .
In 1995, Angelo Mozzillo created the company “Mozzilla Srl”, known as the fashion house Angelo Mozzillo ready-to-wear luxury [4] . In 1998, he opened a salon on Via Montenapoleone in Milan.
Magazines Vogue and Elle recognized Angelo Mozzillo as the main character of High Fashion (Haute Couture) [4] .
In 2003, at the Miss Italy contest, Angelo Mozzillo was a fashion designer for the participants [5] ].
On December 26, 2013, at the age of 48, the designer passed away as a result of a complication of an incurable diseaseb. Sister Louise Mozzillo and her team took over the management of the house [6] .
