Biography

Born in Grozny on August 24, 1939 in the family of the famous Chechen musician Umar Dimaev .

In 1957 he entered the Chechen-Ingush College of Music at the composer department in the class of the Honored Artist of the USSR, associate professor L. M. Shargorodsky and in 1963 graduated from it as a theoretical composer. In the same year he entered the music-theoretical department of the Moscow State Music and Pedagogical Institute. Gnesins , but subsequently transferred to the composer department. He was engaged in composition in the class of Professor Oleg Konstantinovich Eiges . He attended a master class by the outstanding Soviet composer Aram Ilyich Khachaturian .

After graduating from the institute in 1968, he worked as a teacher of musical and theoretical disciplines for two years, and also taught polyphony, harmony and form analysis at the Grozny College of Music.

In 1970, Said Dimaev became the artistic director of the State Chechen-Ingush Philharmonic. With his participation, national folk and pop groups were created ensemble "Zama", a group of "Fun hour", a children's group "Stars" and others. He was one of the organizers of the tour of famous Soviet performers of pop and classical musical art: the Cheerful Guys group led by Pavel Slobodkin , Alla Pugacheva , the famous cellist Leonid Grach , the Ariel group, the North Ossetian Symphony Orchestra led by Pavel Yadykh and many others.

Subsequently, he became the chief conductor and artistic director of the orchestra of folk instruments of the State Committee of the Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic on television and radio broadcasting.

He worked in various genres: songs, romances, symphonic and chamber works, orchestral suites. He also created music for films, theatrical productions, wrote variations of folk melodies, wrote works that completely covered musical education on a national basis, starting from kindergarten and ending with a repertoire for a music school.

In 1980-1983 he was the chief conductor and artistic director of the orchestra of folk instruments of the State Committee of the Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic on Television and Radio Broadcasting. In 1983-1986, a teacher at the Chechen-Ingush Music and Pedagogical College. In 1986-1991 - Deputy Minister of Culture of the Chechen-Ingush Republic. In 1994-1995, he was an adviser on culture and art of the Head of the Chechen Republic.

He was a member of the Union of Composers of the Russian Federation. His works were performed by the orchestras of Moscow , Vladikavkaz , Grozny, Tbilisi . “Children's Album” by Said Dimaev was rated by the Union of Composers of the Russian Federation as an outstanding contribution to the development of musical culture.

He was a member of the section of the Union of Composers of the Russian Federation on the artistic and aesthetic education of children and youth. Every year he participated in the festival “Composers of Russia for children”, where he took a direct part as a composer, performing in Moscow and various cities of Russia and the CIS . He participated in the Moscow Autumn festivals, had author's evenings in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania , and the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic .

His works are in the repertoire of famous Moscow soloists and ensembles, such as the “Ensemble of Soloists” of the folk instrument orchestra led by Nikolai Nekrasov , pianist , Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Tatyana Rubina, violinist, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Leonora Dmiterko, soloist-vocalist of the Moskontsert Nadezhda Darina, Narodnoy Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, laureate of all-Union and international competitions, opera singer Movsar Mintsaev and others.
