General information
The village is located on the right bank of the Kem River, 16 km west of the city of Kem and 345 km north of Petrozavodsk .
In the village there is the Podujemskaya hydroelectric power station on the Kem river (above the dam - Podujemskoye reservoir , below - Putkinskoye reservoir ). On the left bank near the village there are holiday villages and an inactive Kem airfield (Poduzhemye) .
The Kola highway ( St. Petersburg - Murmansk ) passes through the village, and immediately beyond the dam of the hydroelectric station along the left bank there is a road to the city of Kem. Nearest train station Station - Kem .
