Long-snouted white barrel [1] ( lat. Delphinus capensis ) is a species of mammalian dolphin family.

It lives in coastal areas in tropical and moderately warm waters of the oceans.
The body length of adult animals is from 1.9 to 2.5 meters, weight is from 80 to 235 kg. Males are usually large and heavy. The back is dark and the belly is white.
Can live in packs of hundreds or even thousands of individuals. Sometimes combined with other dolphins, such as grind . It feeds on small fish, krill and cephalopods. They are able to dive into water to a depth of 280 meters and hold their breath for up to 8 minutes.
The gestation period lasts from 10 to 11 months. Newborns with a length of 80 to 100 cm and weighing about 10 kg, their color is darker than in adults. Can live up to 40 years.
