Pile bridge - the first on the right (lower) on the layout of the center of Rome .
Pile bridge ( lat. Pons sublicius ) - the first in Rome , about which we have heard, the bridge erected in the city. It was built across the Tiber River, between the Bull Forum ( Velabr locality) and Trastevere, the fourth Roman king, Ank Marcius ( 625 BC ). [one]
According to the descriptions of Roman historians, neither nails nor any other iron bonds were used in the construction; exclusively wooden pins were used to connect the parts of the bridge with each other [1] . Destroyed many times, the last time in 69, was always quickly restored to its old, wooden structure.
