Biography
Born in the family of a soldier.
Father: Khomyakov Pavel Fedorovich.
Mother: Khomyakova (Belechenko) Natalya Fedorovna.
Member of the CPSU since 1957.
In the Soviet army since 1945. In 1949 he graduated from the Chkalov Military Aviation School of Pilots.
Since 1963 V.P. Khomyakov has been in flight test work. He was a leading test pilot on the Yak-36M from the Civil Aviation Research Institute of the Air Force. May 18, 1975 with O. G. Kononenko made the first landing of the Yak-36M on the deck of anti-ship missiles "Kiev" .
By the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of August 14, 1975, the honorary title “Honored Test Pilot of the USSR” was awarded
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of January 8, 1980, for testing and mastering new military equipment and shown courage and heroism, Colonel Vladilen Pavlovich Khomyakov was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal .
During the flight activity he mastered 68 types of aircraft, helicopters and their modifications.

He was awarded the Order of Lenin , two orders of the Red Star , and medals.
He died on June 8, 2015.
He was buried in the Rakitki cemetery ( Moscow , Novomoskovsk administrative district ).
