Biography
Born in an employee's family. Russian. He graduated from 7 classes of Tikhvin single labor school of the 2nd stage. In 1935 he graduated from the Kostroma technical school of water transport of the forest and received a specialty technique for timber rafting. Then he was sent to work in the Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic . In 1936–1939, he worked as a technician at the Padansky and Kandalaksha timber industry enterprises, was a technical manager, head of the lumber station and technician-forester of Ukhta LPH. From 1939 to 1941 he worked in the forestry department of the Rugozersky forestry.
In the Red Army since October 1941. Member of the Great Patriotic War since July 1942. Fought on the Voronezh and 1st Ukrainian fronts.
On the night of September 26, 1943, the commander of the company of the 748th rifle regiment, foreman Alexander S. Sinnikov, was the first to cross the Dnieper to the regiment from his company and led the fighters to the assault of height. Having seized it, he fought off enemy counterattacks for several hours. Personally destroyed the machine-gun point and up to 10 Nazis. He was wounded, but did not leave the battlefield.
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of June 3, 1944 for courage and bravery shown during the crossing of the Dnieper and keeping the bridgehead seized, foreman Anatoly Sergeyevich Sinnikov was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal .
In 1944, due to the state of health, A. S. Sinnikov was demobilized from the Red Army . After the war, he returned to work at the Ustyansky timber industry enterprise, where he worked until September 1945. Member of the CPSU (b) since 1946.
In 1950 he graduated from the Arkhangelsk Forestry Institute . In 1956, A. S. Sinnikov received a degree in agricultural sciences, became an associate professor of the department of forest cultures and the dean of the correspondence faculty of forest cultures. He wrote 78 scientific papers, prepared two graduate students who defended their dissertations.
In 1950–1965, he was a lecturer at the Arkhangelsk Forestry Institute, in 1965–1980, director of the Arkhangelsk Forest Research Institute and Forest Chemistry of the USSR State Forestry Agency, and in 1980–1985 he was a senior researcher at the same educational institution. Repeatedly participated in VDNH and was awarded the silver and bronze medals of the exhibition . Since 1985, A. S. Sinnikov is on a well-deserved rest. In 1986, the honored veteran became a delegate to the founding conference of the All-Union Organization of War and Labor Veterans. Since 1987, the first chairman of the Lomonosov district council of war and labor veterans. He was a member of the Arkhangelsk City Council of Veterans.
He lived in Arkhangelsk. He died on August 22, 2005. He was buried at the Vologda cemetery in Arkhangelsk.

He was awarded the Order of Lenin , the Order of the October Revolution , the Order of the Patriotic War , 1st degree, the Order of the Red Star , medals, including For Labor Valor, a diploma of the All-Russian Council of War and Labor Veterans.
