Sindou ( fr. Sindou ) is a city and urban community in Burkina Faso , in the Cascade region. The administrative center of the province of Lerab .

Located in the southwestern part of the country, near the borders with Mali and Côte d'Ivoire , at an altitude of 350 m above sea level [1] .
According to the 2006 census, the population of the city commune (department) is 18,484 [2] . According to 2003 data, the population of the city of Sindu totaled 4009 people. In addition to the city of Sindu itself, the city commune includes 10 more villages.
