Description
Meet everywhere . Cephalothorax of females with a reduced thoracic section. Antennae of males 4-segmented (flagellum in the fourth segment). Mandibles and maxillae developed. Paws of males 2-segmented. Parasites on homoptera ( Homoptera : Delphacidae , Eurybrachidae , Fulgoridae , Ricaniidae , Flatidae and Dictyopharidae ). The group is close to the Halictophagidae family [1] [2] .
Systematics
There are 4 modern genera and about 30 species. The fossil genus Protelencholax is known, found in Dominican amber ( Oligocene ) [1] [3] .
