Story

There were three friends “do not spill water” - Fedotov, Aslanbekov and Khomenko. They fought together in Afghanistan , but after the withdrawal of troops from there, fate divorced everyone along its way. Fedotov got special forces, the war in Chechnya , the accidental killing of a boy and fifteen years in prison, Aslanbekov - the post of head of the colony for former military personnel (in fact, there was no such colony in Russia), Khomenko - promotion, general epaulettes and the post in the General Staff . But the villain fate made friends again - for the careless murder of a boy in Chechnya, Fedotov ended up in a colony with Aslanbekov, and after Aslanbekov arranged for Fedotov and several other inmates to meet relatives outside the law, Khomenko after the “godfather” signal (deputy chief of regime Lieutenant Colonel Yurchenkov) goes to the colony with a check. And even in such conditions, it is necessary to maintain military friendship and not to lose the most important thing - officer honor.

Facts

  • The television premiere of the series took place on May 17, 2004 on the NTV channel . Then the series was repeatedly broadcast not only on NTV , but also on other channels.
  • Based on the series, a novel of the same name was written, its author was the famous writer, laureate of the National Bestseller prize Ilya Boyashov . The novelization was released in 2007.
  • The credits mention that "the events described in the film never happened in reality."
  • Colonies for former military personnel never existed in Russia, despite the fact that runaway prisoners from a regular colony call it “green”, by analogy with the “red” zone - a special colony for former law enforcement agencies. Moreover, the colony could not be managed by the Ministry of Defense , since all the correctional facilities are managed by the FSIN .
  • The biography of Sergei Fedotov at the beginning of the film resembles the biography of Colonel Budanov , it is not for nothing that Major Shmarov tells Lieutenant Colonel Yurchenkov that they delivered a “TV star” to them in a stage. An analogy with Budanov is caused by the fact that the trial of Budanov was covered in detail in the media .
  • The region code “42” on the cars in the film indicates that the colony is deployed in the Kemerovo region . In fact, most of the field shooting took place in the Leningrad region and in Kazakhstan.
  • The soundtrack included DDT songs “Smoke” and “War can be different,” and Konstantin Shumailov, a member of this group, wrote the original music for the series.
  • The series has two completely different intro titles. In the NTV channel version, the song “Smoke” of the DDT group sounded; in the version of Channel One, the original music. The second screen saver was much shorter, it had a completely different set of frames.
  • The episodes of the consequences of the tornado do not apply to one natural disaster that occurred on the territory of Russia. These are documentary footage of various catastrophes and natural disasters provided by the First Channel Information Broadcasting Department, NTV Television Company and KTK Channel ( Kazakhstan ).
  • The plot of the series is vaguely reminiscent of the American film " The Last Castle ", released in 2001.
