Strange Too (another violation by Anton Corbijn) is the fourth video release of the British band Depeche Mode , released in 1990 . The collection includes video clips filmed by Anton Corbein for six tracks from the seventh studio album Depeche Mode Violator . The American Record Association has awarded Strange Too platinum status [3] .

“Have you ever seen Strange ?” Well, this is a completely different matter. This film is based on Depeche Mode , on life , on love , on lust and on how to get closer to all four components closer ”
Unlike Strange , the video for Strange Too is in color. The collection contains clips on the compositions “ Personal Jesus ”, “ Enjoy the Silence ”, “ Policy of Truth ” and “ World in My Eyes ”, which were previously released as singles , as well as two exclusive videos for the songs “Clean” and “ Halo ” [5] (although“ Halo ”, unlike“ Clean ”, was broadcast on TV [6] ). Spain , Portugal , Great Britain , Switzerland, and the USA are indicated as the location of the shootings [4] .
Just like when shooting a video for Strange , working on Strange Too clips, Anton Corbane used Super 8 . In the video for the song “Halo”, the young Jenna Elfman starred as a dancer. On the VHS cover and at the beginning of the film is the Motor Vu Drive-In cinema located in Erda, Utah , west of Salt Lake City ; part of the video material was filmed on it the day after the Depeche Mode concert in Salt Lake City in July 1990 .
According to Caroline Sullivan ( Melody Maker ), Strange Too is “six pretentious clips using deck chairs (Enjoy The Silence”), clay shacks (“Halo”), urban views in the spirit of the film “ Political Of Truth” ) and gloomy brooding “dispatches” (in all the clips). The ceaseless flow of colors and images in each video <...> seems to be used for the sake of a visual impression, and not for the sake of any relation to the song, and provides a pleasant surreal experience. This collection of videos from Anton Corbijn is a good demonstration of what can be achieved with the Super 8 camera ” [2] .
