“The Kinglet is a songbird” (Turkish Çalıkuşu ) is a Turkish television drama, partially based on the novel of the same name by Reshat Nuri Gyuntekin [2] .

Content
Story
The main character of the series Feride, who in her childhood was called the king for her liveliness and love for pranks. At an early age, her mother dies of consumption, and her father, being a military man, decides to send the girl to a French boarding school. A few years later, news comes of the death of Father Feride. The orphan remains in the care of Aunt Besim and her husband Seyfettin. Seyfettin and Besim have two of their children - Kamran and Nejmi. Feride falls in love with Kamran, but he does not take her seriously and continues his relationship with the widow Neriman. At this time, a colleague and friend of Kamran Selim falls in love with Ferida, who, in turn, is in love with Nejmi.
