General Information
Paul is one of two children of Guillermo and Emma Capdevil; his older brother's name is William (now he is Paul’s manager, and before that he also tried himself in protour [1] ). Parents work in a factory manufacturing auto parts.
In tennis since nine years; favorite coating is soil. He is fond of football and playing the guitar.
Sports career
In professional tennis since 2002. In 2003, in the doubles category, he won the first tournament of the Futures series . In September of the same year he made his debut in the main competitions of the ATP tour , having passed the qualification for the tournament in Costa de Suip . In April 2005, in Bogota, he won his debut Challenger . In August, he made his debut in the Grand Slam tournament of the US Open , where he entered the second round, defeating the Frenchman Paul-Henri Mathieu . In February 2006, at a tournament in Memphis in the first round he beat No. 14 in the world ranking at that time Tommy Robredo - 4-6, 7-6 (3), 6-4, then prevailing over Croat Ivo Karlovic - 7-6 ( 1), 3-6, 7-5, Capdeville first reached the quarter-finals of the ATP tournament, then losing to Belgian Christoph Vligen .
