Jersiberotha myanmarensis

Jersiberotha myanmarensis (lat.) Is a fossil species of retinal-winged insects from the genus Jersiberotha from the Berotida family ( Berothidae ). Found in the Lower Cretaceous ( Albanian ) Burmese amber of Asia (Kachin, Tanai Village, Myanmar ) [1] . The species was first described in 2008 by American entomologists Michael Angel ( Engel M. ) and David Grimaldi ( Grimaldi DA ; USA ). Along with other fossil species of retina-winged insects, such as Paraberotha acra , Banoberotha enigmatica , Haploberotha persephone , Sinosmylites rasnitsyni , Iceloberotha kachinensis , Eorhachiberotha burmitica , Telistoberothaeriothaerillaeerilla , erythera magilla , of the Neuroptera order as a whole, which was shown in 2011 during an audit of the paleo-fauna by paleoentomologists Vladimir Makarkin ( Biological and Soil Institute of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences , Vladivostok ) and his Chinese colleagues Ts. Yang and D. Zheng ( Qiang Yang, Dong Ren ; College of Life Sciences, Capital Normal University, Beijing , China ) [1] [2] [3] [4] .
