Haploberotha persephone

Haploberotha persephone (lat.) - fossil species of retina-winged insects from the genus Haploberotha of the berothidae family ( Berothidae ). Found in the Lower Cretaceous ( Albian ) Burmese Amber of Asia (Kachin, Tanai Village, Myanmar ) [1] . The species was first described in 2008 by American entomologists Michael Angel ( Engel M. ) and David Grimaldi ( Grimaldi DA ; USA ). Together with other fossil lacewing insects such as Ethiroberotha elongata , Banoberotha enigmatica , Scoloberotha necatrix , Sinosmylites rasnitsyni , Iceloberotha kachinensis , Eorhachiberotha burmitica , Raptorapax terribilissima , Oloberotha sinica , Dasyberotha eucharis , Araripeberotha fairchildi , Jersiberotha myanmarensis , Jersiberotha tauberorum , Iceloberotha simulatrix are among of the most ancient representatives of beroths and the entire Neuroptera order as a whole, which was shown in 2011 during the audit of paleofauna by paleoentomologists Vladimir Makarkin ( Institute of Biology and Soil Sciences of the Far East Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences , Vladivostok ) and his Chinese colleagues C. Yang and D. Zhen ( Qiang Yang, Dong Ren ; College of Life Sciences, Capital Normal University, Beijing , China ) [1] [2] [3] [4] .
