He took an active part in the life of Leicester , was elected mayor of the city [1] . He died during the cholera epidemic in Malaga in 1861, while being treated in Spain. He was buried in the English cemetery . In accordance with the will of the father of his daughter, Ellen Ann and Margaret founded Noble Hospital in Malaga, which served both the local population and foreign sailors arriving at the port of Malaga [2] .
