Tolengite

Tolengit is a service clan; in Kazakh society, it has traditionally been in the service of khans and sultans. They come from the ancient tribal association Tele, according to the Chinese gaogui - carts with high wheels. With the fall of the Golden Horde, part of the Tulenguts unite in the Tolengut Khanate. The Tolengites do not belong to any of the three zhuzs, and make up the service class among representatives of the Torah family, that is, Genghisides. Because of this, they are sometimes called Tore-Tolengit. The Tolengites performed all duties - both in military service and in the economy, therefore they always wandered alongside the sultans and khans.

The list of their duties included the security service under the Torah, the execution of their special orders, the collection of taxes from the people, messenger orders, etc. It was known that Abylai Khan had 5,000 Tolengit yurts, of which 1,000 were inherited by his grandson Kenesary Khan a yurt, at the father-in-law of the Bokeyevsky khan Zhangir - Karaul Khoja Babadjanov, by the origin of the Tatar, there were 200 yurts of Tolengits. As a result of the liquidation of the khan's power in the Middle Zhuz in 1822, in the Younger Zhuz in 1824, in the Bokey Khanate - 1845, the service class of Tolengit began to undergo major changes. As a result of these reforms, the Kazakh rulers, weakened politically and economically, were not able to contain the Tolengites, as a result of which the Tolengites began to separate themselves into a separate kind, existing to this day. And in some Kazakh clans, the subgenus Tolengit appeared. Famous people came from among the representatives of the Tolengit clan, as well as from other clans. For example, the famous kyushi Dina Nurpeisova came from the Tolengites. Batyr Shekshekey - Shemenbai Dosayuly, a faithful ally of the batyrs Isatay and Makhambet. Representatives of the intelligentsia Batyrbek Alzhanov and Sakhypkerey Argynshiev, who first supported the Bolsheviks. and then Alash Ordu.

Currently, they mainly live in the territories of North-Western Kazakhstan, Southeastern part of the European part of the Russian Federation.

The uranium of the Tolengite clan is the same as that of the Torah clan — Arkhar. Tamga is also like the Torah clan.
