M111-90

M111-90 series houses

M111-90 - a typical series of prefabricated houses, designed in the mid -1970s and produced at the DSK-1, DSK-2 of the city of Minsk since 1976 . [1] This series is one of the most popular in Minsk . There are also houses in this series in Zhodino , Borisov and other cities of Belarus .

The series is a modification of the 111-90 series, the houses of which can be found in Novosibirsk , Kazan , Veliky Novgorod and Rostov-on-Don .

Since the beginning of the 1980s, these houses began to be built in almost all new microdistricts of Minsk: for example, in the South-West , Robin , and Uruchye . Houses of this series are produced to this day. Since 1983 , a 16-story modification appeared, and from 1997 - 19. In 1998 , a modification of the 12-story version appeared, called BS40-BS41. In 1983 in Polotsk a 9-storey building of this series was built.

Design Features

The houses of this series have a striking design feature - the presence of non-smoky transitions between the stairwell and the elevator hall. The screens of these transitions have a diverse design (12-story modification). However, in the late 12-story modifications (BS40-BS41) they were abandoned.

Residential buildings of the M111-90 series are being erected in two versions: these are multi-sectional 9-, 10-story and single-section 16–19-story. In point-type single-section residential buildings, kitchens with bay windows are widely used, summer premises with an increased area of glazing and a low blind screen of the fence are developed in area. In 9-, 10-story residential buildings, it is possible to arrange apartments on two levels. The thickness of the outer wall panels of this series is 300 mm, while the insulation layer is 160 mm. The constructive step is 3.6 m, the floor height is 2.8 m. The horizontal external joint is ridge. [2]

Reinforced concrete products for construction for 10–19-story houses of the M 111-90 series are produced by the KPD-3 plant. In the construction of lower floors and especially the technical underground in 19-story houses, concrete of grade 400 is used. For the construction of subsequent floors, concrete of grade 300 and then grade 200 is used. [3]

Criticism [4]

The longevity of the buildings of the M 111–90 series is largely influenced by the imperfection of the panel joints design: insufficient flexibility of the joints at the joints, not tightness of the filling with mastic, etc.

This causes leaks, corrosion of embedded parts, purging of the premises, and, therefore, poor temperature and humidity conditions.

Joints are in unsatisfactory condition and need repair and sealing, this is the main problem of buildings of this series.
