Biography
In 1519, along with his brother Dmitry, Prince Ipat Potul Volkonsky, " according to the Tatar news " was in Tula , being the fifth governor.
In 1537 - the second governor " on Tula in the country ."
In 1541, the Crimean Tatars raided the South Russian possessions again. Crimeans appeared on the river Sezha in the Tula land. A small cavalry detachment under the command of Prince Ipat Potul Volkonsky was sent against them. The Crimeans killed the whole detachment, the governor himself was killed, and the enemy rushed to Odoyev .
He left behind five sons: Ivan, Fedor, Peter, Vasily and Dmitry.
