Content
Career
As a student at the University of Pennsylvania , he was a member of the Mask and Wig club and played important roles in annual productions from 1907 to 1909. After graduation, he worked as a columnist in a newspaper. After his marriage, he moved to Bala Sinweid , a suburb of Philadelphia. Here he came up with his most famous hero - Buck Rogers, releasing two novels about his adventures and establishing a series of comics in collaboration with illustrator Dick Colkins . As a comic book author, Nolan worked until 1939.
Nolan was also the author of other works of the science fiction genre, which were published in specialized magazines. After the death of Nolan in 1940, the detective The Girl from Nowhere was published.
Personal life
Philip Nolan married Theresa Junker. Ten children were born in the marriage: Philip, Mary, Helen, Louise, Teresa, Mike, Larry, Pat, John and Joe.
