Oloberotha sinica

Oloberotha sinica (lat.) - a fossil species of retina of the genus Oloberotha from the family of Berotida ( Berothidae ). Found in the Lower Cretaceous sediments of Asia (Yixian Formation, Chaomidian, Beipiao City, Liaoning China ) [1] . The species was first described in 1996 by Chinese paleoentomologists D. Ren (Ren D.) and Z. Guo, (Guo ZG). Together with other fossil lacewing insects such as Paraberotha acra , Libanosemidalis hammanaensis , Banoberotha enigmatica , Alloberotha petrulevicii , Sinosmylites rasnitsyni , Oisea celinea , Eorhachiberotha burmitica , Raptorapax terribilissima , Araripeberotha fairchildi , Ethiroberotha elongata , Caririberotha martinsi , Dasyberotha eucharis , Chimerhachiberotha acrasarii are among of the oldest representatives of berotids and the entire Neuroptera order as a whole, which was shown in 2011 during an audit of the paleo-fauna by paleoentomologists Vladimir Makarkin ( Biological and Soil Institute of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences , Vladivostok ) and his Chinese colleagues Ts. Yang and D. Zhen ( Qiang Yang, Dong Ren ; College of Li fe Sciences, Capital Normal University, Beijing , China ) [1] [2] [3] [4] .
