Melitopol (TV and Radio Company)

The channel began broadcasting in 1991 and was originally called MTV. In 1994, changed its name to "TVM". Had an agreement to relay the programs of the following channels: ^[1]

In 2007, the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council of Ukraine imposed a fine on the Melitopol shopping center for violating election laws ^[2] .

For a long time, the television company worked at a loss, offsetting costs from the city budget. In 2009, the City Council even raised the question of closing the unprofitable municipal television channel, but was not supported by deputies ^[3] . In 2011, the losses of the television company amounted to 85 thousand hryvnia ^[4] . In 2011-2013, under the leadership of Viktor Proskurni, the television company got out of the crisis ^[5] , and in 2013 brought in income of 90 thousand hryvnias ^[6] , which allowed for equipment modernization, repair of the premises and for the first time in a long time to pay bonuses to employees ^[5] .

On April 29, 2013, the City Council terminated the contract with TVM Director Viktor Proskurney ^{[5] [7]} . Deputy and. about. The director was appointed an opposition politician and former MTV-plus director Vladimir Korotun, and it was expected that he would soon occupy the position of director of the Melitopol shopping mall ^[8] . But on June 27, 2013, Vladimir Korotun was fired ^[9] , and on August 23, Vladimir Morozovsky ^[10] was appointed director.

At the end of November 2013, the TV channel was involved in a scandal when the driver of the channel’s director accused the director of using the car for personal purposes and complained to the City Council, and the next day was fired ^[11] .

Since September 2017, the editorial staff of the television channel changed its location. Her new address is st. Universitetskaya, 15 (2nd floor). In this room for a long time housed the services of a community pharmacy. Now, they have moved to the first floor. Since October 2018, the “Main newspaper of Melitopol” occupied a part of the premises on the second floor. Journalists of the TV channel huddle in one room. 7 people work there, the director’s office is still occupied only by Tatyana Tkachenko, who rarely goes to work. the TBM team disrespects the current leader. TVM operates on the 27 PAL channel ^[12] . Broadcasting of television programs is carried out using a 0.2 kW Quantum Air transmitter ^[13] , acquired in 2009, from a Melitopol telemast 200 meters high. The signal is transmitted from the television company to the transmitter via a fiber-optic communication line, laid in 2010. The television company has 2 television studios. The team is 12 people ^[14] .
