Whalfera venatrix

Whalfera venatrix (lat.) Is a fossil species of retina of the genus Whalfera from the family Rhachiberothidae . Found in Eocene amber of Europe ( Great Britain ) [1] . The species was first described in 1983 by the British paleoentomologist P. Weally (Whalley, PES 1983), originally in the Mantispidae family under the name Fera venatrix [2] . Along with other fossil species of the winged insects, such as Whalfera wiszniewskii , Spinoberotha mickaelacrai , Chimerhachiberotha acrasarii , Alboconis cretacica , Oisea celinea , Eorhachiberotha burmitica , Phaeanoconis burmitica , Retrieraerae , Ileraeonon, Phaeanoconis , 2007 by American entomologists Michael Angel ( Engel M. ) and David Grimaldi ( Grimaldi DA ) [1] [3] [4] [5] .
